We start working in 3D from the start of the project; there are plenty of great reasons for doing this:
Our designs are spatially coordinated from the start; that means no poorly considered spaces that look great on plan but cause a (literal) headache when you realise there isn’t enough headroom.
Once we have a 3D model to work with, all our drawings are automatically generated. We don’t need to update dozens of drawings whenever we move one element.
We can immediately visualise our designs as 3D models, views, panoramas and even in virtual reality.
Many practices will create their design work in 2D and outsource their visualisations, which is costly and time consuming. We have in-house software that quickly allows us to convert our 3D models into beautifully presented environments, complete with animated scenery. As part of, or in addition to architectural design services we offer visualisation at a variety of scales.
We were commissioned to create a visualised 3D model of the site at Orchard Farm. The development is offering serviced plots to self-builders, so we had to show off the possible variety of houses as well as the award-winning landscape design. We produced images, videos, panoramic views and even a virtual reality experience that was exhibited at Build It Live. Below are some rendered images and videos showing the proposal.
We can also visualise single properties, including interiors, providing interactive walkthroughs so you can virtually inhabit the space. Below is an example showing a project we did in Boughton under Blean where we created a new house on the footprint of the derelict remains of an old piggery. This is a comparative view showing the computer-generated image of our design next to the actual build.
This is an interactive set of panoramic views that allow you to walk through the 3D model:
